B elieve it or not, there is more sunshine in the Luberon then anywhere else in France!
W e challenge you to make the walk to the top of the Luberon (approx. 2 hours from Mas the Cocagne). When the weather is clear, you can see all the way to the mediterean.
T his causes the Luberon to have a semi-seaclimate. The mountains protect us from bad weather, which is why we are mostly in the sunshine.

T hanks to the very mild climate and the fertile soil, a lot of fruit trees are planted here: From cherries to peaches and almonds to apricots.
 I n the spring, there are wonderful flowering trees throughout the region, while in summer the mature fruits are widely and inexpensively available.
T here are several fruit harvest festivities, like 'la fête du melon' in Cavaillon. |
